My name is Nicholas Van Wesep and I am a student at Ferris State Univeristy working on a degree in Digital Animation & Game Design. My concenration is in Game Development, which deals with coding/programming. I love figuring out how to code all kinds of different mechanics for video games. I'm currently in my fourth and final year in the program, and along the way I have gained experience in many different softwares and worked on lots of different projects, both solo and as a team. Some of my favorite parts of game developement are creating/planning ideas for games, finding unique solutions to problems, and working on making games as a team.
I have experience in the following softwares and programming languages:
Sofware/Programming Language | Classes Taken |
---|---|
C# | 2 |
Java | 3 |
Processing | 3 |
Unity | 1 |
Unreal Engine | 4 |
Visual Studio | 2 |

Here are some of the advanced classes that I have taken:
As I continue to grow my skills here at Ferris, I hope to master the softwares that I have learned so far. One of the main skills that I want to learn in the creation of multiplayer games. While I do love a good single player games, multiplayer games have always been my go to. I love the collaboration and strategy that goes into working with and against other players, and I hope to one day be able to create awesome multiplayer games that people can enjoy.
